COVID-19 Policy

The Scarborough Inn is working towards creating a safe environment for all our guests and employees. Towards this goal, we are continually following the CDC recommended safety protocols at our hotel. We are diligently committed to the safety and health of all our guests and on-site staff. We are also actively monitoring the progress of B.1.617.2 (Delta) variant of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and are continually updating our safety protocols based upon real-time data and CDC & state guidelines. In an effort to adheere to the best safety practices we have implemented the following protocols.

  • Cleaning and sanitization of all hard surfaces, furniture, door knobs, phones, faucets, switches and high touch items
  • Front office computer keyboards, phones, surfaces and other touch items cleaned and disinfected
  • Social distancing protocols
  • Housekeepers do not enter guest rooms until after check-out
  • 10 point intensive room cleaning and disinfecting upon check-out
  • Additional 2nd layer inspection by the housekeeping manager to ensure that protocols have been met.
  • Deep cleaning and sanitization of pet friendly rooms making sure all animal hairs and residue have been cleaned and disinfected.
  • Usage of masks on premises (we follow the current NC state and Dare county guidelines). Please stay updated on mask mandates by visiting the Dare County website.
  • Weekly inspection of air filters and replacement when necessary
